The Wand

Many patients get very nervous at the sight of a needle and syringe. It is a reason why some people don't seek dental care. But with the CompuDent(TM) System featuring the Wand, these fears are minimized. The Wand provides painless injections. A small lightweight handpiece, the Wand resembles a pen. It doesn't even look like a syringe.

The computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery system allows even-flow delivery of anesthetic in a very comfortable non-threatening manner. The 'bee sting' effect is eliminated - the painful consequence from a surge of fluid into a confined tissue area. Often times, patients don't even know they are receiving an injection. An added benefit is that certain injections reduce the unnecessary numbness of the tongue, checks and face.

The Wand provides painless injections for all routine dental treatments including root canals, crowns, fillings and cleanings. It works better than a syringe resulting in a more pleasant experience. At our office, the Wand is used for all procedures requiring injections.
